On Thursday 20th October, our school took part in the UK’s biggest, brightest and pinkest fundraiser, wear it pink.
Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink is back for its 15th year and it’s going to be pinker and more fun than ever! The event is held in homes, schools and workplaces across the UK with fundraisers raising money for Breast Cancer Now’s lifesaving breast cancer research.
We asked pupils and staff to wear their best pink outfits and turned the school pink for the day with fabulous pink fundraising.
Ellie Adam, Senior Fundraising Products Manager at Breast Cancer Now, said “Each year we are overwhelmed by the huge numbers of schools taking part in wear it pink. It’s staff and pupils like those at Stannington Infant School that make wear it pink the huge success that it is and help raise money to support Breast Cancer Now. It’s wonderful to see staff and pupils holding pink parties and having so much fun whilst dressed up in pink during the school day! We hope that everyone enjoys Stannington Infant School’s wear it pink party – all of us at wear it pink HQ can’t wait to hear all about it!”
Well done you raised:
