Sheffield Children’s Book Award

Last week, eight Year 2 children were lucky enough to attend the Sheffield Children’s Book Awards at the Lyceum Theatre. The children had a great day out and were very happy that their favourite book in the picture book category, Otto the Top Dog by Catherine Rayner, was named the winner! After the ceremony the children had lunch in the Winter Gardens before exploring the Millennium Galleries. We were also invited to a meet the author session at the Central Library where the children met Catherine Rayner. She read several of her books to the children, answered their questions and explained how fun and creative it is to be an author. Everyone had a great day!
