We got into gear for our Active Travel breakfast to support Clean Air Day!

Clean Air Day is the UK’s largest campaign on air pollution. We supported the campaign by holding an active travel breakfast for those that arrived actively to school. Lots of families arrived to school actively, some walked, some scooted and some rode their bikes! All were rewarded with a yummy breakfast.

The theme for this year’s campaign was: “Air pollution dirties every organ in your body. Take steps to improve your health this Clean Air Day.” Children are more vulnerable to the effects of air pollution; it not only impacts their health but also their ability to learn. We wanted to take this opportunity to raise awareness of how we could try to create a cleaner air environment for children. Thank you to everyone who managed to arrive to school actively and helped to reduce air pollution around our school.
