This week all children in school have celebrated Advent by creating their very own Christingle and have participated in a church service at Christ Church in Stannington.
The children have learnt that a Christingle is made from: an orange that represents the world, a candle that represents Jesus as being the Light of the World, a red ribbon that represents the blood of Jesus and his love for everyone and then the dried fruits and sweets that represent the four seasons.
We all can’t wait for Christmas now!
