Another great week at Forest Schools, we wish we could do this every Friday!

Today we looked at plant lifecycles with Mrs Platts, we thought about the seeds we are investigating in class and talked about the process they will go through to become a fully grown plant.

Mrs Cheetham taught us about animal food chains – do you know what the difference is between predator and prey is? We do. We thought of some really long food chains from a sea habitat, starting from coral leading up to a killer whale.

We also put on our bee suits and looked in the hive to see if the school’s bees had made any honey. Mrs Simpson showed us how the bees were working to produce honey and we discussed the process.

We made biscuits with Mrs Turner and then decorated them this afternoon – they were delicious!!!!!

This afternoon, we used a saw to chop our own piece of wood which was tricky at times as we had to keep the saw straight! We then added a detailed art drawing of a leaf – we can not wait to show you.

Here are some of our pictures from today.

Next week we will be visiting Mrs Simpson’s farm, we are so excited as she has lots of exciting things planned for us to explore.
