“A friendly, creative environment for learning together”
Integrated Resource
Welcome to the Integrated Resource – The Rainbow Room
The Rainbow room Integrated Resource is a ten place Local Authority specialist setting for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who have an Education and Health Care Plan. The Rainbow room provides a personalised education for children aged 4-7 years of age who have a primary need of Speech Language and Communication including Autism written into their Education and Health Care Plan. A place in the integrated resource is allocated by the Local Authority. Applying for a school place in Stannington Infant mainstream will not result in accessing a place in the Integrated Resource.
Within the Rainbow room, children are supported to make progress in all areas of learning alongside a celebration of their individual special education needs and diverse learning styles. Our vision is for every child to receive a broad and language rich curriculum to give them the best chances to achieve their potential during their time at Stannington Infant School.
We believe that it is important for you to make the right choice of educational setting for your child and your family, therefore visits to the Rainbow room are highly encouraged and welcomed. If you would like to visit our integrated resource, meet our wonderful team of staff and discuss your child’s special educational needs you are welcome to contact our Integrated Resource leader Mrs Rachel Billingsley via email at rbillingsley@stannington.sheffield.sch.uk or contact the school office on 0114 2344401.
