We work in close partnership with and feel well supported by our parents. The governors are active in the life of the school. We pride ourselves on our friendly, welcoming ethos.
We are part of Peak Edge Academy Trust and work closely with the other schools in our Trust.
The curriculum we provide at Stannington Infant School is designed so that all children develop the curiosity, confidence and independence to attain highly.
The school was built in 1910 and benefits from a pleasant and rich environment, including a very large playing field and a wonderful school garden.

Diwali day in FS

Year Two local walk
As part of our geography learning, we went on a walk around Stannington. We had already planned our route on a map and followed this as we walked around. We were really good at pointing out local places and finding these on our maps (even when they got a bit soggy!)....
Honey
Our wonderful bees have been busy all summer making delicious honey. The children have helped to extract the honey and we have so many jars! This year we have Golden Honey and Heather Honey. If you would like to buy a jar then please let us know.
