We work in close partnership with and feel well supported by our parents. The governors are active in the life of the school. We pride ourselves on our friendly, welcoming ethos.
We are part of Peak Edge Academy Trust and work closely with the other schools in our Trust.
The curriculum we provide at Stannington Infant School is designed so that all children develop the curiosity, confidence and independence to attain highly.
The school was built in 1910 and benefits from a pleasant and rich environment, including a very large playing field and a wonderful school garden.

Learn to Ride
The children did so well in their Learn to Ride sessions today. Thank you to Amy from Modeshift Stars for teaching the children. Our next Modeshift Stars event is the 9th June - pedestrian skills (look out for a letter)
What an animal-tastic day!
The children in Reception have had an amazing afternoon with grasshoppers, cockroaches, a bearded dragon, a rabbit, guinea pigs, a tortoise and a snake!!! The children had a great time watching, stroking and handling the animals. They learnt so many new facts too!...
Caring for our environment
Thank you for collecting Morrisons Grow Vouchers. Our new tools have arrived! We put them to use straight away by re-planting our planters ready for Spring and Summer.
