In art, year 2 have been looking at the artist JMW Turner and his famous painting ‘The Fighting Temeraire’. They made their own Great Fire of London sky background mixing and blending sky colours to create different tints and tones. They also looked at the Sheffield Artist, James Green and his prints. They then created their own print of a building in Stannington in the style of James Green to print on to their sky background.
James also kindly joined us via google meet last week to discuss his paintings. The children also asked him questions about his career so far as an artist.
