Today the children welcomed a special visitor to school, Mary Poppins! She flew in on the breeze to share lots of Victorian and modern toys with the children as part of this terms History topic. The children were shown the different toys rich and poor Victorian children would have played with. They also had the opportunity to play with a range of different toys and experienced a Victorian playtime with games like stick and hoop, skittles and tin cans. The children also put their investigative Science skills to the test and sorted new and old toys, thinking about the materials they were made from.
