Today we had some very special visitors. Our family members came to share some of their old toys. We wanted to learn how they compared to our toys. What had changed and what remained the same. It was a wonderful afternoon and everyone enjoyed investigating by looking at, talking about and playing with, the toys.

The children said…

I liked the marbles best. I learned that one Barbie doll couldn’t move its arms. I liked the Spirograph, I liked moving it in circles. The typewriter was good it made words. I found out that old cars were made from metal. The Sooty and Sweep puppets were very old, they didn’t feel very soft. I liked the football game, you could pretend that you were scoring goals. There was an old boat, you had to wind it up to make it go.
